Backstage: Barks, in a December 11, 1969 letter to Michael Barrier: "I don't have any record of what the Bugs Bunny gag was about. The day being Feb. 7, 1952, I'd say the gag was probably sold to Western for use in the newspaper strip. That's about the time Al Stoffel and Jack Taylor were getting the Bugs Bunny syndicated strip moving. They did the writing and gags. [Ralphl] Heimdahl did the drawings."
