Description: David Kunzle, an art historian from the University of Los Angeles, who seems to be well grounded in Barks-stories, analizes the influence of (in those days) current political events on the works of Barks. Kunzle tries to prove that the political situation of the USA in the fifties and sixties has a great influence on the stories Carl Barks has created. He refers mainly to stories with Uncle Scrooge, in which Uncle Scrooge stands for the USA (USA = U.S. = Uncle Scrooge), thus invading in poor and helpless countries (such as South America, South-East Asia and Arabia) to force its lifestyle on them and to do unfair business with them.

This script and the script for Junior Woodchuck story "Life Savers" (JW 6-03) could not be located in time when The Carl Barks Library - Set VI was published. Andreas states in this book that all Woodchuck scripts have survived, so this hopefully means that both scripts still exist in their entirety.

- Wer ist Carl Barks

Wer ist Carl Barks

Inducks: ...
Author: Gottfried Helnwein
Publication date: 1993
Country: Germany.
Language: German
Type: book
Width: 24 cm
Height: 31 cm
Pages: 296

Description: Paperback and hardcover

Contains many scenes and poses from Barks' comic book work, an interview, a collection of rare and unique art. Barks' art is mostly printed as either a colour or greyscale photograph, which means that the shades and wrinkles can be seen of the papers on which the art is drawn. Even when printed in colour, the art is mostly drawn in black. When a drawing does use colour, it's mostly only the usage of blue or red pencil.

The second print contains slightly less art than the first print.
