Donald's winning cup has been changed to a medal and dialogue is changed appropriately; some of audience's boos are deleted; reference to "unfriendly" countries changed to "other" countries.

The Olympic slogan "it is not to win, but to try that is important" has been changed somewhat (this is indeed an Olympic slogan, but Barks originally had it slightly wrong) and relettered.

Disney's 1992 Olympic comics were licensed Olympic products, so the USA Olympic Committee didn't like the idea that authorized Olympic merchandise made fun of them. They objected to this Olympic tryouts story, but did allow a heavily censored version to be printed- as it was in WDC 575, with medals replacing winners' cups, etc.

In "Donald Duck Adventures" No. 28, the Beatriz Bolster photo finish story (D 6018) was reprinted as a last-minute substitution, because the Committee objected to the originally scheduled Barks story, W WDC 286-01 The Olympian Torch Bearer. The cover still illustrates the Barks story which wasn't inside.

(More recently, these stories have been published in their original form, where of course the comics that used them weren't official Olympic products.)
